A POPULAR Scottish music star made famous in the 80s will play Ayr's Gaiety Theatre in September.
Celebrating over 40 years as a live performer, Eddi Reader will return to the town as part of a tour.
She first hit the limelight with the success of number 1 song 'Perfect' and album, 'First of a Million Kisses' topping the British charts with band, 'Fairground Attraction'.
Eddi, who grew up in Irvine, then moved onto more solo works most notably, 'The Songs of Robert Burns' which was released in 2003.

With 10 critically acclaimed solo albums, 3 BRIT awards, a number 1 single and an MBE in tow, Eddi continues to entertain audiences worldwide.
Her full band and long-time musical cohorts will join her – Boo Hewerdine on guitar and vocals; Irish piano accordionist Alan Kelly; John Douglas on guitar, vocals and ukulele and Kevin McGuire on upright bass.
