A COMMUNITY Open Weekend saw Ayrshire residents and visitors flock to a Prestwick cinema to show their support.
The Broadway cinema held the open day for people to show their support to the cinema and to learn about it's rich history, which stretches back many decades.
The cinema's volunteer team Friends of the Broadway were joined by Heriot Watt University's Emplace Design, who co-hosted the event.
A Friends statement said: "The event was a huge success and we are incredibly grateful for all of your support and enthusiasm for our beautiful cinema.
"We are especially thankful to the students of Emplace Design representing Heriot-Watt University.
"The work that Chlöe, Louise, Ella and Aislinng have done thus far has been truly wonderful and their dedication and shared love for our project has been remarkable. We will be eternally thankful for their crucial part in the Broadway's journey.
"To welcome you all back through the Broadway's doors again is a honour and a privilege, and we can't wait to open them once more to The Broadway Meantime-Use Space later this year, and the Broadway Cinema of the future when it will finally return to the heart of its community.
"Stay tuned for more announcements very soon and once again, thank you!"
