A PRESTWICK cinema loving group will host a community open event at The Broadway Cinema this weekend.
Volunteer group Friends of the Broadway will co-host the event alongside Emplace Design - a team of engineering students from Heriot Watt University.
A popular cinema in it's prime years, the theatre on Prestwick's Main Street was brought back to life as a film hub for locals in 2021, when Friends of the Broadway renovated the ground floor for screenings.
The February event will see the Broadway Cinema's doors thrown open once again and people can visit to engage with the teams on the future of the cinema.

There will be scheduled talks at 11:30, 13:00 and 14:30 covering the history of the Broadway, the project work and design, as well as the cinema's future.
There will also be a wide variety of activities available including engaging with concept art for the building's restoration, heritage exhibits, an interactive art wall, and Q&A sessions with the team and the chance to share your vision for the Broadway's future.
The Community Open Weekend will take place in the Broadway from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19.
