A MASSIVE music event has been confirmed to take place in Ayr.
Ayr's very own DJ Ewan McVicar, who is currently fresh off of a worldwide tour, will take over the Low Green in Ayr with his Pavilion Festival.
The event will bring together a selection of the leading names in dance music and up and coming talent for what will be Ayr’s first electronic music festival, and will bring thousands of people to the area.
Ewan, who grew up in Kincaidston, Ayr, has quickly become one of the most recognised names in British dance music.
This Summer saw him play a string of high profile festival and club appearances, which included Glastonbury, Parklife and Creamfields, and a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
In Between DJ’ing, Ewan hosted a BBC Radio 1 residency, released his EP Heather Park and most recently scooped the Sub Club/Ballantines Electronic Music award at the Scottish Music Awards.

Ewan has always been very vocal about his love of Ayr, and credits its people and rich rave history for sparking his love of dance music.
It has been a long time dream of his to stage a festival in his hometown.
Ewan said: "For years I walked down the beach to the Low Green in Ayr and always thought this would be an iconic site for a festival.
"I was asked by managers and agents what my ambitions were and my Madison Square Garden was to make this dream a reality.
"Now I get to come back hame to Ayr for the first time in four years to play in my hometown and bring a festival to a legendary location and cement the first ever Electronic Music Festival in Ayr, hopefully, for years to come."
In the nineties, Ayr Pavllion was regarded as Scotland’s ‘Rave Mecca’ with it playing host to the legendary STREETrave All Dayer events, which saw ravers travel from up and down the Country to attend.
