SOUTH Ayrshire residents are being asked to stand up in opposition to violence against women and girls by taking part in a special walk in Ayr next week.
The South Ayrshire Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership is organising a ‘Help Us Reclaim The Night’ event on the evening of Tuesday, December 6.

The walk through the streets of the town begins at Ayr Academy at 5.30pm and will see participants walk along Craigie Way, Craigie Avenue, John Street, past Ayr police office, across the Old Brig and down to Sandgate, continuing past the Gaiety, Wallace Tower and Central Arcade, then crossing back over the river and returning to the Academy.
