Over £24,000 was raised for one of Ayrshire's best-known charities at its annual Winter Fair earlier this month.
The Ayrshire Hospice event welcomed more than 2,000 eager shoppers on Saturday, November 12 who browsed festive stalls from crafters across the country at Ayr Racecourse.
Rebekah McGinn, the charity's senior fundraiser, said: “Children were left smiling from ear to ear after meeting Santa Claus in his magical grotto, winning teddies at the tombola and petting Santa’s reindeer.
"Outdoors, RRT Rapid Relief Team provided free BBQ burgers to every guest which went down a treat.
“Thanks to all who attended, had a stall, volunteered, and supported the event throughout, the Winter Fair raised an incredible £24,422 for Ayrshire Hospice.”
Live entertainment was provided by local groups Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra, True Colours, Songs For All and pupils from Forehill Primary School.
Ayrshire Hospice gave a special thanks to all that made the day a success including "the incredible volunteers, stall holders, Rapid Relief Team UK for providing the delicious BBQ, Air Image for taking festive Santa’s Grotto photos, Ayrshire Reindeer Ltd for bringing along Santa’s reindeer, Billy Bowie Special Projects Limited for delivering Santa, Callan Removals for helping with set-up, and the fantastic musical entertainment Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra, Songs for All, True Colours and Forehill Primary School".
