THE first images of the interior of Ayr's new Riverside Sports Arena has been released.
The £8.5m South Ayrshire Council project will feature some of the best sporting facilities in the area, with an eight-lane, 400-metre running track, a six-lane 60m indoor running track, and a field events area at Cragie next to Ayr Academy.
It will also boast a 3G all-weather pitch, along with fully accessible changing areas and a café.
Ayr Seaforth Athletics Club, Ayr Rugby Club, Ayr United Football Academy, University of the West of Scotland, Scottish Rowing, Scottish Athletics, Ayrshire College and Sports Scotland are just some of the clubs and organisations in support of the new build.
