AYR's former Burns House site has been transformed to mark Remembrance Day.
South Ayrshire Council's Grounds Maintenance and Culture and Events Team marked the run up to Remembrance Day, which honours those who served in the First World War, by decorating the grass at Parkhouse Street with poppy decorations.
The idea was warmly welcomed by Ayr's residents, who commented on South Ayrshire Council's Facebook post.
One resident said: "It is wonderful to drive around and see the stunning flowers, loved Hallowe'en and wonderful to mark with Poppies."
Another commented: "Great creative cost affective way to show support and awareness."
A different poster added: "Lovely, lest we forget."
