A MAYBOLE man allegedly strangled his next door neighbour after forcing their way into the home uninvited after banging on the door.
David Herous, 54, pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and threatening abusive behaviour in the town on June 22 this year.
Court papers state Herous, of McDowell Terrace, Maybole, allegedly strangled his next door neighbour by grabbing hold of his neck and then applying pressure to his injury.
He faces a second charge on the complaint of causing the man fear and alarm by shouting and swearing while forcing his way into the property uninvited.
The complaint states he also repeatedly banged on the door and letterbox.
Mr Herous pleaded not guilty to both charges on the complaint when he appeared in Ayr Sheriff Court last week [Thursday, September 29].
The case was adjourned with trial set for a later date and his bail was continued.
