A FINAL application to South Ayrshire Council for the erection of 53 new affordable homes in Coylton is now "under consideration".
The proposal, made by developers Milestone Development, could see a new housing community of detached and semi-detached homes over 8.15 acres in the Manse Road area of Coylton.
An application statement said: "The site layout strategy for the proposal has been developed to ensure a smooth transition between the existing settlement on the perimeter of the proposal and the proposed development itself using a sympathetic design language familiar to Coylton’s existing architectural scale, massing and layout.
"Single storey and two-storey properties, paired with a housing ‘with views to open space’ concept will provide varied street elevations and take measures to avoid repetition.

"This strategy will assist in breaking up the overall roof-line and massing, which will deliver a more naturally evolved development elevation."
South Ayrshire Council will now consider the final proposals.
