As part of Scotland on Tour, an initiative to support the recovery of Scotland’s live music industry, acclaimed rock-pop sensation Honeyblood will take to the stage at the Printhouse in Ayr on Sunday August 14.
Honeyblood is the stage name of singer/songwriter Stina Tweeddale who, backed by her live band, has shot to global fame over the past few years. Having shared stages with acts such as The FooFighters and Wolf Alice, she has also sold out headline tours across the UK, US, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Tweeddale is known for her anthemic, life-affirming tracks which break down genre boundaries and cover a range of topics, including female empowerment, self-worth and friendship. She has produced three albums to date, each of which have been nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) award.
Stina Tweeddale of Honeyblood said, “Being able to bring Honeyblood to many incredible Scottish venues is a real honour.
“Each of these places is uniquely steeped in local history and all individually have an incredible cultural impact on their communities. As a Scottish artist, the opportunity to perform in these places means so much and I am delighted to be part of this initiative.
“The impact of the pandemic is still felt through the touring community - artists and venues alike. The work Scotland On Tour is doing to support full time artists and venues is vital to support the music community.”
Lyndsey Pollock, Director of Events and Promotions at Printhouse, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Scotland on Tour, and very thankful for the opportunity to host such incredibly talented acts on our stage.
“The Scotland on Tour initiative has been a great resource whilst navigating the re-launch of Printhouse (formerly Furys) after a two-year closure. The addition of Honeyblood to our August line up is very exciting & the response has been fantastic! We cant wait to welcome them to Ayr and to see them live in action.”
Scotland on Tour will take place over a period of 12 months between April 2022 and 2023, the remaining concerts taking place at Ayr’s Printhouse include Blue Rose Code on Saturday September 10 and Foreignfox on Thursday September 29.
