Three men who were involved in what police have described as a 'disturbance' near Ayr Racecourse recently have been charged in connection with the incident.
Cops have not confirmed the charges the men face, but they have said the disturbance took place on Sunday, June 5 at around 11.40am.
A 31-year-old man was first charged earlier this week and two further men, aged 17 and 34, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident later in the week.
All three have been reported to the procurator fiscal and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
Constable Shannyn Henderson, from Ayr Police Station, said: “We’d like to thank the large number of people who contacted police and assisted our enquiries as part of this investigation.
“We have been carrying out focussed patrols in the area since the incident, to provide reassurance to the local community, and these will continue for the coming days.”
