Troon's Bank of Scotland branch is set to close its doors later this year.
MSP Siobhian Brown says she has been informed that the branch is set to close on September 21.
She took to her official Facebook account to share the news.
The SNP politician said: "I am disappointed to hear that the Bank of Scotland will be closing its branch in Troon on 21st September.
"This will come as unwelcome news to the people of Troon, many of whom rely on the branch’s services.
"LINK has assessed Troon as meeting the criteria for a Banking Hub which will ensure access to cash and banking services. I will be holding discussions to find out more about what this will look like.
"In the meantime, customers can continue to use services at the Post Office located on Church Road."
