One of Strictly Come Dancing's most recent winners, Giovanni Pernice, made a surprise appearance at an Ayr cafe earlier today, March 22.
Professional dancer Giovanni along with his partner, EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, were victorious in the most recent 19th series of the BBC show.
He popped into Gro Coffee for a bite to eat this morning. The dancer beamed as he posed for a snap with staff at the Ayrshire eatery.
Bosses at Gro posted the photo to the cafe’s Instagram story joking that the star was joining the team. The caption reads: “Girls just told me we have a new barista."
As well as winning the show the couple's choice dance, in week 8, featured a period of silence, included as a tribute to the deaf community earning them the 2021 Heat Unmissables Award for TV Moment of the Year.
It appears the dancer is currently in the area while on tour, having recenetly performed in the town's Gaiety theatre.
Gro coffee have two popular eateries in the county, having began in Irvine before expanding to Ayr last year.
