Ayr has countless beautiful and historic buildings - some in better condition than others.
Here's a round up of all the area's properties currently listed on Historic Environment Scotland's Buildings at Risk Register.
Belleisle House (circa 1787)
Prior to the fire the property was last in use as a hotel but had been disused since November 2009.
67 Kyle Street (1883)
A former seed warehouse, the two storey red sandstone slated roof buildings cornering Kyle and Smith Street.
Planning permission was granted in September 2021 for a change of use and alterations to the building to form eight flats.
Seafield Hospital North Lodge (Circa 1880)
A distinctive entrance to the Seafield Estate.
Station Hotel (1885)
The future of the hotel has been much discussed in recent years, but still no conclusion has come to as to what to do with it.
Bellisle House South Lodge (Circa early 19th century)
South Ayrshire Council is currently trying to shift this old building.
Old Darlington Church (1860)
This building was converted into a theatre but has remained out of use for more than a decade now.
Plans are currently underway for a community group to purchase the building and set up an arts venue.
23-25 South Harbour Street (Circa early 19th century)
The ground floor of this property is occupied but the rest of the building remains vacant.
Former Orient Cinema (1932)
Designed by Albert Gardner and opened in 1932. The Orient was designed in the 'atmospheric' manner, with a moorish inspired tower as the focal point of the facade.
Morrison Congregational Church (1779)
The church was set on fire by three teenage girls in May last year. It has been on the Buildings at Risk Register since 2003.
