DO you enjoy shopping and spending time with your pets? If so, you are in luck as Wilko is now welcoming pets in-store for the first time.
From Monday (February 7), furry friends are now able to join their owners on trips to 248 of the retailer's locations across the UK, including Ayr.
The news follows a pilot at two of Wilko's stores which proved to be successful.
Pets, on their leads if required, can enjoy visits to the home and garden retailer, however, this excludes food aisles.

Wilko stocks a range of pet products including bedding, toys, cleaning supplies, healthy pet essentials, presents, costumes, and accessories during key seasonal celebrations, as well as reptile, bird, and fish supplies.
The retailer confirmed that stores participating in welcoming animal guests are "primarily" those with their own on-street entrance and exit.
Those located within shopping centres, that may not allow furry friends, or where the entrance is not pet friendly are less likely to participate.
Signage will be posted at shop entrances to make it clear if pets are welcome.
Service dogs are welcome at all of Wilko's locations across the UK.
