Girvan Couple celebrate diamond wedding anniversary after 60 years of marriage
A COUPLE from South Ayrshire were celebrating a very special milestone recently, reaching their diamond wedding anniversary.
Girvan residents Isobel and Terry Powell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, January 6.
The couple met whilst serving in the armed forces in Aldershot, Hampshire and were married at St Andrews Church in Girvan in 1962.
The couple have three children, including local artist David, the man responsible for many of the sculptures you can see at Culzean Castle Park, Ian and Yvonne.
They have seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
