Ayr is the centre of attention today as film crews descend on the area to capture footage for the hit BBC drama Shetland.
Filming will be taking place at various locations in the town, including South Harbour Street; South Beach Road; Ailsa Place, with Ayr doubling up as the Shetland Islands.
Motorists might find that some of those roads are closed due to the filming on these streets throughout the day and parking will be affected.
Filming is for the seventh series, which the BBC have said will air at some point next year.
There are four weeks left of production to go, but the BBC have confirmed that at the moment they have no further plans to film locally.
The production team will be based at Blackburn Road Car Park.
