It was a succesful evening for Ayrshire publicans and bar owners at The Scottish Bar & Pub Awards.
A number of venues in our area picked up gongs in a variety of categories.
The Scottish Bar & Pub Awards (formerly the DRAM Awards) are known in Scotland as the Oscars of the licensed trade.
The awards, now in their 26th year, are Scotland’s longest running licensed trade awards. Venues from all over the country compete against one another to be declared the best in their category.
This year's winners were announced on Tuesday, September 7 in a ceremony at Glasgow's Hilton Hotel.
Among those winning at the event were The Fox and Willow in Ayr, who were named the Restaurant of the Year.
They posted on Facebook: "After the last year or so……to achieve this makes it all worth it 😭
We are so incredibly proud of our amazing team. Your hard work, loyalty and ability to keep us smiling and laughing each day is simply fantastic. This is for you. Team Fox, keep smashing it."
The Buf, Prestwick, scooped the Best or Most Improved Outside Area.
And Buzzworks venue the Lido in Troon, won Cocktail Bar of the Year.
And further afield, in North Ayrshire, the Coast Bar and Restaurant at the Gailes Hotel in Irvine won New Bar of the Year.
They shared the following on Facebook: "
"We’re very proud to say that Coast Restaurant & Bar won New Bar of the Year last night at the Scottish Bar & Pub Awards 🎉
"Having undergone a massive refurbishment during the lockdown at the start of this year, we are over the moon for Coast to have been recognised and awarded this accolade. A huge well done to all our staff who have worked tirelessly since we reopened to ensure that our guests enjoy the very best food, drink and service in our covid safe new surroundings."
