Train services across South Ayrshire are returning to normal after an incident this morning was causing delays.
The delays had been caused due to a vehicle colliding with a bridge between Ayr and Maybole.
ScotRail confirmed the news this morning, with commuters initially being advised to keep checking their social media pages for any updates.
An investigation carried out by staff on the bridge found that it is now safe to run trains again, with some services remaining reduced until staff and units are back in position.
