Maybole Juniors manager Carlo Walker was full of praise for his side’s second half showing as they came from 2-0 down to beat Muirkirk Juniors 4-3.
The Bole found themselves two nil down at half time, however a spectacular second half comeback found them 4-2 up before the away side scored a late consolation.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Walker said: “I said to the players at half time, forget about it just now, if we look back we cannot move forward.
“Let’s go out and be positive. it will eventually change and within five minutes of the restart it was 2-2. It was an exciting game for the neutral, everybody really enjoyed it and there was a decent crowd there as well.”
Next up for the bole is away trip to take on Glasgow University, with Walker says the Bole will be focusing on themselves.
He said: “I do not spend too much looking into or worrying about the opposition because their team lines and tactics change so much week on week.
“I need to fix my own team, we have a pile of injuries at the moment and I will be looking to try and strengthen the team this week.”
