Students and staff at Ayrshire College have been stepping forward to receive their Covid-19 vaccine on campus - and there are more opportunities to do so this week.
NHS Ayrshire & Arran vaccination teams are on site at Ayrshire College campuses to kick off the new term by providing vaccines for both students and staff.
Everyone over 16 is now eligible for Covid-19 vaccine and having both doses gives you the best protection against the virus.
You can get vaccinated at:
· Ayrshire College Kilwinning Campus – Friday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 8
· Ayrshire College Kilmarnock Campus – Monday, September 6
· Ayrshire College Ayr Campus – Friday, September 10
Painting and Decorating student Craig Morgan used the drop-in at Ayr campus to pick up his second dose earlier this week. He said: “It’s important to get vaccinated and keep yourself and your loved ones safe.”
NHS Ayrshire & Arran Public Health Director Lynne McNiven said: “We want vaccination opportunities to be as convenient as possible for people and we are delighted at the support from Ayrshire College for the local vaccine programme.
"It is great to see students and staff coming forward at these drop-in clinics hosted by Ayrshire College in Ayr, Kilwinning and Kilmarnock – my thanks go to everyone involved and each and every person that has accepted the invitation to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
Students who wish to be vaccinated can also drop-in to any local mass vaccination clinic. Details of upcoming venues available can be found here.
