Ayr United have announced the loan signing of Rangers prospect James Maxwell until the end of the season.
The 19-year old left-sided player arrives at Somerset Park after impressing in the Championship on loan last season with Queen of the South.
The youngster scored five goals in 32 appearances for the Doonhamers last campaign and returns to the honest men after previously being a part of the Ayr United Football Academy.
Ayr United manager David Hopkin says he is thrilled to get the Scotland U19 internationalist signed up for the season.
"We are delighted to be able to get Maxwell here.
"It is clear how highly rated he is at Rangers and he had a great season at Queen of the South.
"He is improving all the time, is strong and very quick.
"Maxwell will give us something different in the squad which will give us a variety of options in terms of the way we play."
