Carrick Academy has launched a new Hall of Fame, with the first six inductees announced.
It will pay tribute to former pupils who have gone on to excel in their specific job roles.
The first six members are Boxer Shaun Anderson, MP Allan Dorans, Gold medal frame running athlete Kayleigh Haggo, Head of Service for Children, Families and Justice Services in North Ayrshire Alison Sutherland, and footballing twins Ross and Robby McCrorie.
All inductees have been inducted virtually through social media and also have an individual section on the school website. As well as this, they were sent a letter of recognition to thank them for cooperating. Within the school they are planning a wall display to make these people visible to all pupils and also trying to thread the stories of these people through their lessons.
As well as this, when we are in post-covid times the school are hoping to get the inductees in to be formally inducted and even get opportunities to engage with the pupils.
A huge congratulations to all the inductees from all at the Advertiser Series.
