AN AYR football team have made a kind Christmas donation to the local foodbank after wanting to help those in need.
Valspar 2013s, which consists of boys aged 6 and 7, wanted to make a difference in their community this year.
The youngsters took to the task of bringing in a selection of items from home to go to South Ayrshire Foodbank.
Parent and secretary Ashely McLurkin said: “We always give them selection boxes at this time of year, but this time they wanted to their chocolates to someone else.
“We asked them to bring in something instead of a selection box to go to the foodbank – they literally cleared their cupboards.
“They are a lovely bunch. Last year they bag packed for Whiteleys Retreat. They always want to help out.”
