A Troon man has raised £750 for a care home after it was attacked by vandals.
John Muir, 70, completed a 28-mile sponsored walk from his home to the Marcus Humphrey House Masonic Home in Bridge of Weir.
The home, which houses 15 residents, was targeted by vandals in September.
It saw several treasured items destroyed, with garden furniture, pots and ornaments damaged beyond repair.
John decided to raise funds to help restore the items, walking for a total of seven hours and 25 minutes.
It was his second charity walk this year after he covered 1081 miles over four months to raise £1100 for Erskine Hospital.
He said: “I felt very sorry for the residents who are the innocent victims of this thoughtless act and I wanted to help restore the grounds to their former glory.
“After the Erskine walks I was feeling quite fit, so the 28 miles to Bridge of Weir wasn’t too difficult.”
