AYR primary school pupils enjoyed a fun lesson last week where they discovered if their makeshift boats would float.
The Primary 6 pupils at Ayr Grammar were set a challenge of seeing if their boat designs made out of plastic would be able to withstand added weights.
The cleverly crafted vessels were able to hold dice and stay afloat in the water.
The class was part of a STEM class which covers science, technology mathematics and engineering.
