A CHARITY has received a major boost thanks to sales of Monopoly’s unique Ayr edition.
Whiteleys Retreat will receive an amazing £9,734.22 after customers flocked to selected stores across the town to the buy the game.
The Ayr edition which feature locations such as Ayr Racecourse, Brig O’ Doon and Burns Cottage was sold for the charity by Tsukure Hub CIC, Poet’s Coroner Alloway, No. 30 Kyle Street, Doonfoot Day Today, The Coo Shed and Cochrane’s of Ayr.
All 738 copies sold with all the profits going to the charity.
A spokesperson for Whiteleys said: “A huge thank you to our stockists who kindly sold the boards on behalf of the charity for no fee, and to everyone who held off and bought one from our stockists so that the charity would benefit.”
