A SYMINGTON woman has been appointed chief executive officer of Ayrshire Hospice.
Carla MacEwan returns to her home region with a wealth of healthcare and leadership experience from public, private and third sector roles in the Middle East and Australia.
She said: “For over 31 years, the Ayrshire Hospice has offered care both in the Hospice and at home for patients and families.
“The Hospice leadership team is committed to making sure we continue to do so, in the best setting possible, for the next 30 years and beyond.”
“I am very much looking forward to being part of our journey to success.”
John Corrigan, chair of the Ayrshire Hospice Board of Directors, said Carla’s unique leadership experience was very impressive and that the board’s decision was unanimous.
He added: “We are confident that under Carla’s knowledgeable and energetic leadership this much loved charity, that has touched so many Ayrshire families over three decades, will grow even stronger.”
