AN AYR youth football team virtually ran the distance to one of the world’s most famous stadiums to raise money for charity.
Ayr Boswell 2010s travelled an enormous 1,358 miles in one week, the equivalent distance from Ayrshire to Barcelona’s iconic ground, The Nou Camp.
Their lockdown challenge saw them clock up the miles all in aid of Whiteleys Retreat and thanks to donations - they raised an incredible £500 for the respite charity.
The under 11s team were joined by their coaches to complete the challenge, with the charity hailing the fantastic effort.
A spokesperson for Whiteleys said: “Well done lads and thanks to the parents for their support.”
