AYR Rotary gave a helping hand to two worthwhile causes last week with a funding boost.
The Club donated £250 from their Treasure Chest Fund to Ayrshire Echo Association and Ayr Junior Curlers.
Ayrshire Echo Association was set up to relieve those who suffer permanent or partial sight-loss, who are living with an impairment which makes reading a strain.
Peter MacDonald of the association accepted the cheque.
It comes after a rallying call 42 years ago from the organisation when Alan Leitch of the Rotary Club of Ayr had encouraged the then club members to support the fledgling organisation. The money, which Peter said was exceedingly welcome, will go towards the purchase of new audio machines.
