A CHARITY that helps sick children across Ayrshire are set to celebrate their amazing first year of fundraising.
Crorsshouse Children’s Fund is getting ready to celebrate its anniversary, nearly a year on since the charity first began to support young hospital patients of Ayrshire and Arran, and their families.
The Fund, which was established by the successful Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in May 2019, has already begun to make its mark for brave children in the local area.
In Irvine they helped bring a new lease of life to the sensory garden at Ayrshire Central’s Rainbow House by giving them brand new equipment, thanks to sponsor Mackenzie Construction and Glasgow Warriors’.
The Fund helped supply specialised cots and equipment to the Ayrshire Maternity Unit, to help premature and sick babies, be closer to their mum.
Amy Aitken, regional fundraising manager at Crosshouse Children’s fund, said: “Our first year supporting young patients and their families in Ayrshire and Arran has been fantastic and we look forward to many more years of successful fundraising to come.
“We appreciate all the support we have received, and have been humbled by the efforts of fundraisers who have donned their running gear, cycled miles, tackled obstacle courses and held various events in our name.”
Crosshouse Children’s Fund will celebrate in style with a Birthday Ball on Friday, April 24 at the stunning Brig O’Doon Hotel in Ayr.
The event will be sponsor Ayrshire Magazine, the glittering event aims to continue the success of Crosshouse Children’s Fund, as well as celebrate and recognise the achievements of a hugely successful first year.
Amy added: “Our Birthday Ball generously sponsored by Ayrshire Magazine is set to be a spectacular evening that will not only boost fundraising, but will also bring supporters together to celebrate what achieved over the past year. It promises to be a fantastic evening and we look forward to celebrating with everyone on the night.”
Tables at the Crosshouse Children’s Fund Birthday Ball cost just £750, and guests will enjoy a sparkling fizz reception, three-course gourmet meal with wine, star auction and live entertainment in the stunning surroundings of Brig O’ Doon Hotel.
