CAMPBELL - Lynette McCall Passed away on 28th January 2022 in Girvan, Scotland at the age of 70. A lifelong musician and teacher, she gave freely of her talents to those most in need. Lynette was raised in Hemet, California, and attended University of Redlands, Chapman University, and University of California, Riverside. After a short accounting career in her family's business at McCrometer, and having three children, Lynette began her profession in elementary education. She leaves behind thousands of students across the US and Scotland she taught during her thirty year career. Lynette's teaching didn't stop with the schoolbell, she was well known for mentoring dozens of underprivileged students to learn how to lift themselves into better lives through education, music, and sound decision-making. After losing her husband Gordon in 2007, she spent her final years helping raise her grandchildren, traveling, and making friends in her chosen home of Girvan. She is survived by her sister Joyann Gongaware and brothers Kerry McCall and Robin McCall, three beloved children, Jonathan McCall, Lillian McCall, and Haley Rakoski and nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Help for Heroes (http://helpforheroes.org.uk).
